Designers Race Through NYC To Win A Xerox Printer
A hunt for advertising, graphic design and marketing communications agencies to locate a state-of-the-art printer in the heart of New York City — why not? Game on with the #PhaserHunt, an interactive social contest sponsored by Xerox.
Hosted during NYCxDESIGN, which showcased and promoted design of all disciplines, the #PhaserHunt drew on social media to spur competition and excitement among the local design community.
The three-day contest in mid-May began at noon each day with clues tweeted from @XeroxProduction, leading agencies to a design landmark in central Manhattan. Agencies then competed to figure out the location and be the first to arrive in person. The winners successfully followed the clues to Pratt Institute, Parsons The New School for Design, and Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) headquarters.
The winning agencies included:
WECREATE NYC. A curated community of creatives – designers, photographers, stylists, writers, media production, filmmakers, marketers, publicists, tech entrepreneurs and more – all working in a shared space. By connecting curious minds from diverse industries, WECREATE fosters an environment in which collaboration and innovation can flourish.
BUREAU BLANK. A digital marketing agency that uses design, communication, strategy, and technology to build strong brands. The agency creates logos and visual identity systems, print publications and marketing collateral, and engaging websites and applications.
DESIGN DISENO, NEW YORK. A digital production and design studio that creates unique visual communication with a twist. Combining traditional arts with cutting-edge technology, the studio delivers exceptional results in print, broadcast and interactive media for today’s multicultural world.
